Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help deliver meals to people in the Williamston & Webberville area. Volunteers keep local Meals On Wheels programs running – and they keep hungry seniors fed. Reliable volunteers are critical for program. This program provides hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday. Meals are delivered between 10:30 and 12:00 noon weekdays. Your volunteer schedules can be set up according to your individual preferences. You can deliver one or more times each month. Some volunteers deliver during their lunch hours. Meals are picked up for delivery in downtown Williamston. Volunteers must be 18 years of age, have a car, a valid driver’s license and good references. Training is provided and mileage reimbursement is available. What Does A Meals On Wheels Volunteer Look Like? Meals On Wheels volunteers come in all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities. Our volunteers are Brownies and Cub Scouts, high school and college students, professionals, retirees, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents – and even a few great-great grandparents. Some like to go out and visit seniors; some like to work behind the scenes – and all have generous hearts. In other words, Meals On Wheels volunteers look just like you. If you would like to help, please contact Patsy Gaffner at 281-8598, the Meals on Wheels office in Mason at 676-2775 or pick up a brochure in the church lobby!
